31.
From July 29, 2011, until July 29, 2012 for the entirety that I'm 31-years-old, I will post a photo from my life each day - in analog black and white.
This is my second autobiographical 365 project. The first one is diary29.com. The BBC reported on this project calling it "a fascinating travelouge through a year in someone's life."
I'm proud to say my life is a part of other parallel lives on Cowbird.

December 31, 2011 | New Years Eve - what a beautiful way to welcome 2012 - laying on the floor with Jimmy listening to the Dalai Lama's new book, "Beyond Religion."

December 30, 2011 | Jimmy, Ella, Jon, Jenny, Jimmy's bro - Dave, Dave's friend - Lee, and I go to the Guggenheim back in NYC for Maurizio Cattelan's exhibit. It was morbid and inspiring and clever at the same time. Stirred my juices that I am capable of *more*. Dave - who is also an artist - thought I should shoot this way from laying on the floor - and I agree - happy to have the input of good artists around me.

December 29, 2011 | Heading back from the woods to civilization.

December 28, 2011 | Mish (my mom's dog) and her "boyfriend" Donato (my sister's dog) enjoy the heck out of one another running in the woods.

December 27, 2011 | Jimmy and Mish playing on the floor.

December 27, 2011 | I ♥ this man. He even makes grocery shopping fun. We cooked a Mexican feast for the family up in the blue ridge cabin - and it turned out sooooo good!

December 27, 2011 | ... A feast complete with a Tres Leches cake with a "7" candle, a "5" candle, and many other candles for my wonderful mum's 75th year on this earth.

December 27, 2011 | Tonight my sisters (Denise and Dana), Denise's girlfriend - Alyssa, and Jim and I stayed up late playing games in the basement and drinking Tequila. I found myself feeling so grateful for my family unit and almost feeling like I have a functional normal family - with the divorce and with how scattered we are (I guess those are the reasons), it's rare we have times like this - and it was so very wonderful.

December 26, 2011 | Tessa and Buddy are in hot-lanta visiting Buddy's family! A nice surprise dinner with old friends and then we drove them to the airport so they could head back to San Fran.

December 25, 2011 | My momma on Christmas day.

December 25, 2011 | The fam on Christmas day.

December 25, 2011 | My wonderful crazy family.

December 24, 2011 | Mumma on Christmas Eve - she and I have our own tradition of opening one gift on Christmas Eve. I did well this year - getting her things she likes - including this yoga jacket she can use for walking.

December 23, 2011 | My brother and sister-in-law are going through a pretty hard divorce (I thought my parents divorce was a tough one)... and he is getting remarried soon - I hadn't met his bride-to-be (Leslie), but they asked me and my sisters to be in the wedding - so I suggested she and I go look for bridesmaids dresses to get to know one another. We actually found some great sample dresses in chocolate brown for twenty! (count em'!) schmakers.

December 22, 2011 | Michelle has been my friend since pre-school... She now lives in that same house she grew up in with her two little ones. She has me and our other friend from way back over for lunch.

December 21, 2011 | My momma and I having a salad.

December 20, 2011 | My mom and Tommy and Tommy's Christmas gift for Leslie.

December 19, 2011 | I've been working hard - freelancing off-site from the kitchen table in Atlanta. It's really great how I can take my work with me on my laptop. My view over my computer is our Christmas tree.

December 18, 2011 | My momma. This reminds me of that movie... What was it... Jack Nicholson hates how his wife gets out her keys way before she gets to the car. Well, it doesn't bother me much.

December 17, 2011 | A bath in my childhood home.

December 16, 2011 | Um, didn't take much today, except the photo that reminds me what day it was.

December 15, 2011 | Jimmy and remnants of Tatum.

December 14, 2011 | I dropped off my application for a Vietnam tourist visa today - woowoo! Can't wait til March.

December 13, 2011 | Me and my hunny watchin the tube.

December 12, 2011 | Workin'. I'm freelancing much more from home these days.

December 11, 2011 | I sent my step-mom Ann's parents a holiday card today - they have been so sweet to me - and Jean, especially loves getting mail from me. It's sad, a little, to look at it now, because Frank died a couple weeks later on Christmas Eve - but really it isn't that sad, because Alzheimer's and old age has been making his life very, very hard for a while.

December 10, 2011 | KS asked me to come to bible study today, and what a trip it was. I thought it would be exploring the bible together with a group, but it felt more like a enrollement session into "being saved." I stood my ground and continued the discussions - because I actually love discussions on spirituality and the like - but they seems not impressed with my lack of interest in following suit. None-the-less, it's beautiful how KS and I get each other so well, and we can be so close - really, through so much!

December 9, 2011 | Jimmy.

December 8, 2011 | My yoga studio - love it!

December 7, 2011 | Lots of days I stare at a computer all day and there isn't much fruit for beautiful black and white pictures. Andi, a wonderful photographer from the Crit 2 class - suggested I turn the camera around to me, versus what I'm looking at, so Andi this photo is for you. (www.andischreiber.com).

December 6, 2011 | Jim's sister and her partner are in town and we all out out for dinner - and have a massive, Alice-in-wonderland-ish dessert.

December 5, 2011 | A cute moment of laying on Jimmy's tummy.

December 4, 2011 | Ella and I ride the ferris wheel in Central Park - I think we are both somehwere between childhood and adulthood.

December 3, 2011 | Treating myself to Devachan - to embrace my curls.

December 2, 2011 | I'm taking photos of buildings for Brian's website - so I always have an eye out for a nice "building" shot.

December 1, 2011 | Coffee break from Starfish at the cafe downstairs in Soho.
